PhD in 2012 (summa cum laude) for the thesis Syntactic and semantic integration of gestures into speech – Structural, cognitive, and conceptual aspects. European University, Frankfurt (Oder).

Study of linguistics and anglistics at the Free University of Berlin.

Research interests: interactional linguistics, gesture studies, cognitive semantics, functional and cognitive grammar, multimodality of language, temporality and dynamics of meaning creation, embodiment, gesture-sign interface
